Maya wears Just Cavalli!

Just Cavalli is known for prints but the secret is the pant. The Just Cavalli pant is one of the best cuts you can come across. The silhouette is so perfectly cut it gives you the best outcome you could hope for with a fantastic looking behind and leg!

The Just Cavalli label has turned a corner and it is certainly turning heads. After changing licencee it has done a full circle and is back to offering the supreme sexy, rock n roll boho look. More exciting is that it is no longer in the same price bracket, prices are a lot better and you can think of adding some luxury pieces to your wardrobe at half the price.

Maya is wearing the W12/13 pant which will drop into store in November. The stretch denim makes for comfort and perfect lines while the print and cut compliment each other when worn with a mono colour.

Above is a little showcase of the Summer resort 2013 collection which will be in store in May next year. Inspired by a trip to India, Roberto Cavalli has concentrated on exotic animal prints and safari and then mixed it in with a psychedelically hip hop theme.

Chic finds in Cannes

Beautiful things, fashion, Photography

Can’t be denied what ever is French is so seemingly Chic! Even Cannes. Not my favorite city but it does hold one of the most glamourous events each year and it has such a fascinating history. Here are some great shots from the last days.

No other than Sean Penn. Fantastic shot!

Vladamir Restoin Roitfeld and Giovanna Battaglia… looks like it could be the 1960’s.

Diane Krugar and Joshua Jackson. She is wearing the most amazing dress from Nina Ricci and Prada shoes. Every out fit of late has been a sensation.

Bring it on! Nothing beats the summer in Europe.

Chicfinds DIY home refreshments

Nothing like a touch of paint, new curtains or a new garden bed… it’s Autumn/Spring and its a lovely time of year to nest! I always search around what ever city I am in for recycled. Recycled furniture is so worthy of a look as it is often designer so it has a ever lasting quality and beauty. Some favorites;  Decorating Recycled in Rose Bay, Sydney has some beautiful recycled curtains, rods and all the bits to go with it. They also have a good turn over of arm chairs, coffee tables, sofas and lamps. It is a little treasure trove. http://www.decoratingrecycled.com/

Another one worth looking at is Home Furnishing on Consignment. They have a full catalogue on their site http://www.hfoc.com.au/ It is however a bit more of an Australian contemporary style so the pieces are fairly modern and the prices are not bargain prices.

Spring and Autumn are important months for the garden. Can be a time to enjoy the outburts of colour or can be a time for planning. Soon we will have a fantastic landscape gardener; Wendy Barrett on Chic Finds and you could not ask for a better guide. Gardens or just potted plants bring so much joy and bit by bit you can learn how to manage all their different likes and dislikes. Like us, plants are made up of Acid/Alkaline systems and some like a more acid soil and others alkaline, some like sun, some a more protected environment. Step by step learn about your favorites. Some of Chic Finds favorites are; Geranium’s, Gardenia, Roses of all types, Camelia and all the citrus family.

If gardening and interiors are not your thing then maybe a bit of fashion shopping is. Just Cavalli have started to deliver their Summer 13 range into store and it is gorgeous. With beautiful soft hazy prints, silks and printed floral it is everything you would expect from Cavalli. ChicFinds weekend bargains in Sydney

Beautiful things, fashion, Interiors, Photography

Chicfinds has had some more delays in bringing to you Thursday’s chicfinds but we are hoping to have the listings available very soon!!! In the meantime we want to propose some great buys for this weekends shopping. As summer arrives we are focusing on the earthy tones. In the picture below Daria wears a necklace by Pamela Love. Along side having Pamela Love, For Artists Only Boutique in Rose Bay has a collection of really beautiful designers including, Alexander Wang, Lover, Sass & Bide and Ksubi; http://www.forartistsonly.com/contact/

Some of the best buys available are now at temporary pop up stores and in Sydney this weekend there are two worth visiting. Firstly on George Street in Sydney city (next to Apple Store, opposite The Strand Arcade) there is a pop up store of mixed international brands including Belstaff, Just Cavalli, Lanvin, Dolce & Gabbana, Replay and Twenty8Twelve. The stock is a mix of men and women’s clothing, footwear and accessories and there is a bargain to be had! Some great finds are the shoes from Belstaff,  shirts and jackets for men by Dolce & Gabbana and Lanvin, some beautiful scarfs by Etro and also candles by DL &Co.

This weekend there is also the boutique markets on Sunday showcasing arts and crafts and special product that is made with love and care and is ideal for Xmas presents or Xmas decoration. Definitely worth a browse. Visit the website for more detail; http://boutiquemarkets.com.au/sydney/ Another great place to visit on the weekend is HFOC (Home Furnishing On Consignment) which is a shop in Alexandria which stocks second designer furniture. The pieces are special and they are there on consignment so you can find some great pieces that would normally cost double or tripple the retail price. If you love quality and you cant afford it then this is a fantastic option as despite the pieces being second hand they are in great condition. There web site is a great place to start as everything in stock is available to view including price; http://www.hfoc.com.au/

Another market worth visiting is Finder Keepers at the Carriage Works. The exhibitors are very inspiring as there is a mix of artists, craft makers and designers. Their is  product available for everyone including gifts, inspiring stationary, art, jewellery, clothing, creative and unique homewares and furniture. These markets are Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd of December. For a guide to all that you will see, visit the web site which also includes a blog and gallery of everything on offer; http://www.thefinderskeepers.com/markets.php

Another must for shopping is the Leather Shop. The Leather Shop has a temporary pop up store in Darlinghurst, Sydney and there are some beautiful bags on offer. One of our favorites is the tan Catalina bag which is so perfect for this summer’s earthy tones fashion; http://www.leathershop.com.au/hobos/678-etrusco-catalina-hobo-tan-genuine-leather-handbag.html and another  favorite is Bellosguardo; http://www.leathershop.com.au/cross-body/636-etrusco-bellosguardo-tan-cross-body-leather-sacthel.html The bags are beautiful leather and amazing quality. All made in Italy and yet still at such reasonable prices.

Visit the store where you can find a big variety of bags; 330 Victoria Street, Sydney or buy online http://www.leathershop.com.au/
